🐫 Mazda 6 Dpf Light Flashing Reset
I only joined the forum to post this ! If the DPF light is flashing it is probably because it wasn't reset at your last service. Most common reason for flashing DPF is that it is the "Service overdue indicator".
aust_norm said: They checked it out and apparently there is a bulletin out from Subaru Australia advising of the issue which is someting called " oil dilution ". The fix is to drain the oil (I assume it was engine oil) and reset the DPF sensor. All up a 15 to 20 minute job that was done for free. Norm.
My 2008 (1st Gen) 2.0 TS has had its DPF light flashing for almost 2 years with no obvious detriment to performance. Mazda 6 1st Generation (2002-2008)
First time - P243C dpf regen frequency, P117a engine oil over temp - oil level slightly high, checked PIDs - pm acc to high - injection correction done, checked boost pressure sensor - ok, carried out pdf regen -- suvvessful PIDs within spec, replaced oil, reset oil data - all ok.

Mazda 6 Sport 2.2 2011, just replaced the DPF (nearly £400) and gone through a forced DFP regen as part of the warranty using delphi Diagnostic system on the laptop. All warning lights now cleared but little power up to 3000rpm then it takes off like a scalded cat.
Some of the following symptoms are signs of a blocked DPF filter on your Mazda: Limp Mode / Loss Of Power; DPF Warning Light On; Engine Management Light On (EML / MIL) Poor Fuel Consumption; Glow Plug Light Flashing; These faults can cost in the region on £1000+ to repair if not dealt with as soon as possible.
